As the body rests, or “sleeps” in savasana, we experience a greater sense of clarity, calmness and serenity. Research has shown that Yoga Nidra can improve wellbeing by eliminating stress, inducing a healing response, lowering blood pressure, and alleviating cravings.The Dow Integrative Institute integrates Yoga Nidra with an ancient Japanese healing art, Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) Self-Help, that harmonizes the body for optimal health. JSJ is like Chinese acupuncture, but without the needles. We use only our hands.This is an online class that scaffolds in these intentions for deep rest. If you cannot make it at 8:15pm EST, a recording will be sent afterwards.
