As the body rests, or “sleeps” in shavasana, we will experience a greater sense of clarity, calmness and serenity. Research has shown that Yoga Nidra can improve wellbeing by eliminating stress, inducing a healing response, lowering blood pressure, and alleviating cravings. This class is done lying down or in a recliner. The Dow Integrative Institute integrates Yoga Nidra with Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) Self-Help harmonizing the body for optimal health. JSJ is like Chinese acupuncture, but without the needles. We use only our hands. This is a COMPLIMENTARY class for deep rest accessible to all. This is all about self-love and self-nurturance.
